Josilyn Solis-Trujillo
Clinical PsyD

Hello there, my name is Josilyn, my pronouns are they/them and I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School. Being a non-binary Latine, I recognize the importance of acknowledging the many layers that make up one’s identity. Each part of your identity deserves space and recognition.
I have worked with many individuals from diverse backgrounds and take a holistic approach when evaluating the difficulties that people are concerned with. I believe therapy should be a collaborative and supportive process where every individual feels seen, valued, and heard. Together, we will unpack and process your life story.
I approach my work through an intersectional lens, understanding that our experiences are shaped not only by personal challenges but also by broader systemic factors. As a clinician, it is important to recognize the effects of racism, microaggressions, and the many forms of discrimination that can lead to the development of anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am especially passionate about creating a safe and affirming space for black, indigenous, and other people of color, adolescents, members of the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants, individuals from low socioeconomic backgrounds, and those who are navigating trauma. Therapy will grounded in exploring how past experiences and relationships may be impacting the present.
My goal is to meet clients where they are and provide a compassionate environment that fosters healing, growth, and resilience. I hope that through therapy, you gain confidence, security, and a sense of safety within yourself. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward well-being.
