Marriage & Family Therapist Trainee/Professional Clinical Counselor Trainee
Hi, I’m John Victory. I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee and Professional Clinical Counselor Trainee, and I work with children, teens, individuals, couples, families, and LGBTQ+ clients. I support people navigating challenges like anxiety, depression, stress, relationship struggles, family conflict, life transitions, self-esteem, and identity exploration. I’m passionate about helping clients find practical ways to cope, improve communication, build resilience, and feel more connected to themselves and the people in their lives.
I take a collaborative, client centered, and trauma informed approach. I draw from relational therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), evidence based techniques, and my training in the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM). I aim to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and understood while we explore patterns, build skills, and work toward meaningful change. Every session is tailored to your needs, whether we are focusing on individual growth, helping children and teens navigate challenges, strengthening family relationships, supporting LGBTQ+ clients with identity or relationship concerns, or improving communication between couples.
I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow and heal when they feel supported. Therapy is not about fixing you, it is about helping you tap into your own strengths, access your resources, and make changes that feel authentic and lasting. I bring curiosity, empathy, and respect into every session, and I value collaboration and connection in the work I do with my clients.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy going to the beach, catching a movie, and spending time with my dog. These activities help me recharge and stay grounded, and I try to bring that same sense of balance and well being into my work. I feel honored to support clients on their journey, and my goal is to make therapy approachable, empowering, and a place where you feel truly seen and heard.
