Marriage Family Therapist Trainee

I am a bilingual English/Spanish Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee with a passion for supporting individuals, couples, parents, and families as they navigate stress, emotional overwhelm, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My work focuses on helping clients build emotional regulation skills, increase self-awareness, strengthen communication, and develop practical coping strategies.

Becoming a parent has deeply shaped how I understand family dynamics and emotional development. I have seen how learning tools for emotional regulation and connection can transform relationships and help families move through difficult moments with greater understanding.

Prior to beginning my clinical training, I spent several years supporting international caregivers and host families as a Community Counselor working with au pairs. In this role, I helped families navigate cultural differences, communication challenges, and the emotional complexities that can arise within family systems.

As the daughter of Mexican immigrants, I care deeply about creating a space where clients from diverse backgrounds feel understood and supported. I aim to create what I often think of as a “growth space”, an environment where individuals and families can reflect on their experiences, build resilience, and strengthen their relationships.
