Sophie Little
PsyD Trainee
Hello! My name is Sophie, and I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (Clinical PsyD). My goal in therapy is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, exploring your experiences, and working toward the goals that are meaningful to you.
You know yourself better than anyone else. Through a collaborative process, we can work to better understand your experiences, identify your goals, and find practical ways to help you move toward them. In previous roles, I have worked with individuals ages 7–75 from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences, supporting them through periods of crisis, emotional difficulties, and life transitions.
My approach to therapy is conversational and collaborative. I use open-ended questions to better understand your unique experiences and perspective, while creating space for honest and compassionate conversations. I also value culturally responsive care and recognize that our backgrounds, relationships, and past experiences can shape how we understand ourselves and navigate the world today. Together, we can explore these experiences and consider how they may be connected to what you are currently going through.
Working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a range of life experiences and challenges is especially meaningful to me. Finding a space where you feel truly heard and understood can be difficult, and therapy should be a place where you can feel comfortable showing up as you are. Through this process, we can work toward developing a deeper understanding of yourself, recognizing the strengths and resilience you already have, and building confidence as you navigate whatever stage of life you are in.
I look forward to meeting you and learning more about your story.
