Can these workshops count toward licensure requirements?

All of our workshops and trainings count toward BBS licensure requirements in California and most other states. If you are out of state and depending on your program and the specific topic, we recommend confirming with your university or licensing board to ensure eligibility. Certificates of completion are provided for applicable workshops.

Who can attend the workshops?

Our workshops are open to current Trainee and Associate therapists, as well as licensed clinicians and community members interested in mental health education. Each workshop description will note any prerequisites or target audiences, but most are designed to be accessible and welcoming to all experience levels.

How do I register for a workshop?

You can register by visiting our Workshops page and selecting the event you’d like to attend. Each listing includes details on topics, dates, and cost, along with a registration link. Once you sign up, you’ll receive a confirmation email with instructions and any materials needed before the workshop.

Workshop Policies & Terms of Registration

Thank you for registering for a Life Source Affordable Counseling professional development workshop. Our goal is to provide accessible, high-quality educational experiences while ensuring a fair and consistent process for all participants. By registering for a workshop, you acknowledge and agree to the following policies.

Registration

Registration is required for all workshops and must be completed through our official registration platform prior to the registration deadline.

Workshop registration closes approximately 24 hours before the scheduled live event to allow time for participant processing and distribution of workshop materials.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that the email address provided during registration is accurate. All workshop communications, Zoom links, recordings, certificates, and materials will be sent to the email address used during registration.

Workshop Participation Options

Life Source offers two methods of participation for eligible workshops.

Live Attendance

Participants may attend the workshop live via Zoom on the scheduled date and time.

To qualify for a Certificate of Attendance through live participation, attendees must:

Attend at least 75% of the workshop.
Participate in the workshop as requested by the presenter or moderator.
Remain signed into Zoom using their registered name or a name that can reasonably be matched to their registration.

Attendance is verified using Zoom attendance reports and administrative records.

Asynchronous Participation

When offered, participants may purchase an Asynchronous Registration.

Asynchronous participants will receive:

The workshop recording.
Any accompanying workshop materials.
Access to a brief knowledge assessment.

To qualify for a Certificate of Attendance through asynchronous participation, participants must:

Watch the workshop recording.
Successfully complete the accompanying assessment with a score of at least 80%.

Certificates will not be issued until the assessment has been successfully completed.

Certificates of Attendance

Certificates of Attendance are intended to document educational participation only.

Certificates are issued only to participants who meet the participation requirements outlined above.

Certificates are generally distributed within 2–3 business days following:

the live workshop, or
successful completion of the asynchronous assessment.

Life Source reserves the right to withhold certificates when participation requirements have not been met.

Participants are responsible for retaining copies of their certificates after distribution.

Refund Policy

Registration fees are refundable until 24 hours before the scheduled workshop start time.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing by email before this deadline.

Refund requests received fewer than 24 hours before the workshop begins will not be approved.

Once workshop materials, recordings, or asynchronous access have been distributed, registrations become non-refundable.

Life Source reserves the right to make exceptions only in extraordinary circumstances at its sole discretion.

Workshop Recordings

Most workshops are recorded for educational purposes.

By attending a workshop, participants acknowledge that the session may be recorded.

Reasonable efforts will be made to minimize participant identification within recordings. Participants who ask questions verbally understand that their voice may become part of the educational recording.

Workshop recordings are provided solely for the personal educational use of registered participants.

Recordings may not be:

Shared with others
Uploaded online
Distributed
Sold
Reproduced without written permission from Life Source Affordable Counseling

Workshop Materials

Slides, handouts, assessments, and other educational materials remain the intellectual property of the presenter and Life Source Affordable Counseling unless otherwise stated.

Materials are provided for individual educational use only and may not be reproduced or redistributed without permission.

Technology Requirements

Participants are responsible for ensuring they have:

A stable internet connection.
A compatible device capable of accessing Zoom.
Functional audio.

Life Source is not responsible for technical issues resulting from a participant's internet connection, device, software, or local network.

Workshop Changes

Life Source reserves the right to:

Substitute speakers when necessary.
Modify workshop content.
Reschedule workshops.
Cancel workshops due to unforeseen circumstances.

If Life Source cancels a workshop, participants will receive the option of a full refund or transfer to a future workshop.

Professional Conduct

Life Source is committed to maintaining a respectful learning environment.

Participants engaging in disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behavior may be removed from a workshop without refund.

Continuing Education

Unless specifically stated on the workshop registration page, workshops provide a Certificate of Attendance only and do not constitute continuing education (CE) credits approved by a licensing board.

Participants are responsible for determining whether their employer, university, or licensing board accepts Certificates of Attendance.

Privacy

Participant information is collected solely for workshop administration, communication, certificate issuance, and organizational recordkeeping.

Life Source Affordable Counseling does not sell participant information to third parties.
